Senior Cathodic Protection Engineers & Technicians (CP-2, CP-3, CP-4 Certified) – Australia & New Zealand

Corrosion Control Engineering (CCE) is Australia & New Zealand’s largest and most experienced Cathodic Protection specialist.  We are looking for Senior Corrosion Engineers and Senior Corrosion Technicians with a minimum 8 years’ experience in Cathodic Protection. 

CCE has around 100 staff across Australia and New Zealand and has the largest number of NACE/AMPP CP certified personnel than any other company in Australasia.  All the above office locations are looking to fill at least one or both of the above roles, so if you have the experience we are looking for and the desire to relocate overseas permanently, then read on.

Senior Corrosion Engineer 

You will be certified to CP-3 or CP-4 level and have a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical or similar). Your role will be to provide direction and oversight to cathodic protection engineers and field technicians.  This will include mentoring, project management, programming of works, technical review of reports and support of corrosion related issues and tasks.

You will have at least 8 years’ experience in managing all aspects of Cathodic Protection projects including design, installation, field surveys and maintenance of both ICCP & SACP systems.  Our work involves a variety of industries including pipelines, storage tanks and marine structures.

Senior Corrosion Technician

As a Senior Corrosion Technician, you will have more than 8 years experience in CP and be certified to CP-2 level (minimum).  You will be responsible for providing technical support and oversight to resolve corrosion and cathodic protection issues used to mitigate the adverse effects of corrosion on buried or immersed steel structures including pipelines, storage tanks, wharves/jetties, steel reinforced concrete and other critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Day to day management of between 1-6 field technicians.
  • Conduct/supervise field audits, surveys (inc. DCVG/CIS etc.), testing, installing and reporting on cathodic protection systems.
  • Preparation of daily work packs, scopes of work and cost estimates for cathodic protection related projects.
  • Commission cathodic protection systems.

For both of the above positions, you must have a good work ethic and be willing and able to work in both an office environment and in the field, as and when required.  You must also be available to work outside normal business hours.
