- Corrosion Engineer
Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Corrosion Engineer in the corrosion and corrosion monitoring field. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise on corrosion monitoring technologies and services. This candidate will also have opportunities to work on other engineering projects shop wide. Experienced in corrosion, corrosion monitoring or corrosion-related problem solving to drive business development for corrosion monitoring solutions is required. This role requires a strong understanding of corrosion principles, monitoring techniques, and industrial applications, combined with excellent communication skills.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to promote corrosion monitoring solutions in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, and manufacturing.
- Continuous development of new products.
- Identify and evaluate the types and severity of corrosion in various materials and structures.
- Create drawings, schematics, and spreadsheets.
- Obtain registrations and certifications for offered product line.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Provide technical guidance on the selection, installation, and maintenance of corrosion monitoring systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and promote the company’s corrosion monitoring solutions.
- Travel domestically and internationally when needed for client visits and industry events.
- Identify potential clients, generate leads, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers, addressing their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering or science in relation to corrosion.
- Proven experience in corrosion monitoring field required.
- Strong knowledge of corrosion monitoring technologies such as corrosion coupons, and online monitoring systems (ER/LPR) preferred, electrochemical techniques, ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM), Injection and Sampling systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, Pro E, AutoCAD, Mechanical Drafting, ERP (Epicor).
